Earlier this week, a few family members and I packed our bags and headed to Bournemouth to spend a few days by the beach. It’s not the first time I’ve visited the seaside resort. With its sandy beaches and scenic beauty, it’s a place I’ll visit time and time again.
For those who are unaware, Bournemouth is a lovely coastal resort town on the south coast in the county of Dorset, England. It’s known for its seven miles of long sandy beaches and warm sea temperatures, and is a popular UK tourist destination.
On the first day, we checked into our hotel and then went straight to the beach. Everyone, of course, had the same idea as the beach was packed! But thankfully, we managed to find a good spot right near the sea. The beach in Bournemouth is simply stunning — it’s the best in England in my opinion. As the UK is known for its unpredictable weather, I was a little worried about how it would turn out. However, there was no need to be as we got very lucky due to the recent heatwave. It was absolutely beautiful!
Over the few days we were in Bournemouth, as well as relaxing on the beach, we also explored the town, visited the seafront shops and bought a few souvenirs (as well as rock and fudge of course), walked down the pier, went to the arcades and ate delicious food (including Britain’s finest cuisine – fish and chips!).
I had a great time — it was so refreshing to get out of London for a bit. If you’re looking for a seaside resort to visit, then Bournemouth should be at the top of your list! Here’s some of my favourite pictures that I took during my stay:
Have you taken a trip to Bournemouth before?
