For today’s post, I’ve got an exciting DIY tutorial to share with you! I’m going to be showing you how to make natural lip balm.
This homemade lip balm consists of only three ingredients, which means that it’s super quick and easy to make! And the best thing? All of the ingredients are 100% natural. So unlike most of the beauty products we buy from the shops, we’ll know that no nasty ingredients have been used – only natural goodness! I go through lip balms quickly and I’ve found that making my own is a great way to save money.
Watch the video or read on to find out how to make natural lip balm:
Ingredients
1 tablespoon Coconut oil (available here)
1 tablespoon Beeswax (available here)
1 tablespoon Honey (available here)
Those three simple ingredients are all you need. Great, right? To store your lip balm, you’ll need to get some empty lip balm tubes. You can get them really cheap online here.
Method
- In a small saucepan, combine all of the ingredients over a low-medium heat.
- Keep stirring as the ingredients melt and combine together. Do this continually for ten minutes to ensure this, so that the ingredients don’t seperate when cooling.
- Once you’ve finished with that, the next step is to add the mixture to the empty lip balm tubes. To transfer the mixture, it’s easier to pour it from the pan into a measuring jug before doing so.
- Set for thirty minutes to allow the mixture to cool.
- You’re all done and your lip balms are ready to use!
So that’s how to make natural lipbalm – I told you it was easy!
Let me know if you’re going to give this a try yourself! Have you ever tried making DIY beauty products?
