A few days ago, on a whim, I decided to bake a banana cake. It’s one of my favourite cakes to make; not only does it taste delicious, it’s also really quick and easy to prepare. This recipe is always a big hit with my family – if you decide to try it, I hope you like it too!
Ingredients
~ 2 Very Ripe Bananas (mashed)
~ 150g of Self Raising Flour
~ 170g of Butter
~ 2 Eggs
~ 170g of Caster Sugar
~ A Few Drops of Vanilla Essence
Method
1) Preheat the oven to 180 C.
2) In a large mixing bowl, mix the butter and the sugar together.
3) Then, add the two eggs into the bowl and beat well. Add a few drops of vanilla essence and mix.
4) Add the self raising flour and stir well.
5) Next, add the mashed bananas into the bowl and continue mixing.
6) Once you have finished mixing, place the mixture into a greased cake tin.
7) Bake for around 35-40 minutes (or until a knife dipped into the centre of the cake comes out clean.)
8) Serve and enjoy!
See how simple it is to make? It really is a lovely, moist cake that tastes delicious both when served fresh from the oven and when cold.
